A critically acclaimed classical violinist with extraordinary charm and total command of her instrument, Hideko Udagawa released a new album of the work of famous Russian composer Aram Khachaturian. Khachaturian wrote rich, beautiful, elegant music, as bold as it was dramatic – and, like Shostakovich, from all corners of his heart, at points equally light and dark.
Without questions his most famous piece is the “Sabre Dance” from his 1942 Gayaneh Ballet – recognizable to most as the plate spinning music on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Hideko Udagawa’s producer felt that her audience would appreciate not only hearing her incredible delivery of these classics, but to see the energy and artistry of this great musician.
L.A. Management produced a Enhanced CD that played her music video, included bios on Hideko Udagawa, Boris Berezovsky, her piano accompanist and Liner Notes of Aram Khachaturian and his music.
Versions of the video were also repurposed for the internet and linked from the CD.
